My research aims to develop novel techniques and devices that use sound waves to manipulate and image biomedical samples, such as cells, tissues, and organs. I also apply machine learning, signal processing, and computer vision to enhance the performance and accuracy of these techniques.
Outside of research, I enjoy traveling, basketball, and photography.
I joined the State University of New York (SUNY) at Binghamton as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2024. Our Lab is currently accepting multiple applications from prospective MS/PhD students. Interested candidates can email yuyang.gu@binghamton.edu with their CV and a brief outline of their research interests aligning with our work.
